The East Pier Hotel opened in May 2015 and offers Napier’s newest accommodation and conference facilities

Located absolute beach front in Napier’s seaside suburb of Ahuriri, the East Pier Hotel boasts numerous conference/meeting spaces that can cater for conferences/banquets up to 250 people and cocktail type functions up to 600 people.

All venues offer magnificent sea views, private decks and state of the art AV and technical facilities.

Our smaller venues are perfect as reception or breakout rooms for larger conferences and there is a wonderful feeling of space with high ceilings, wide corridors, large communal areas and floor to ceiling windows/french doors offering marvellous natural light.

All meeting spaces have their own private decks that overlook the ocean and they are also surrounded by acres of beach front reserves that offer wonderful opportunities for team building activities.

There is an award winning restaurant and bar on site that caters for breakfasts, morning/afternoon teas, lunches and A La Carte or banquet dining in the evenings. Of course being in the middle of Hawke’s Bay all our menus offer a wonderful array of fresh local produce and award winning wines.

The Hotel offers 2 one bedroom suites, 3 family units and 16 studio rooms (2 accessible). All rooms offer superb sea views with the upstairs units’ (serviced by a lift) views being second to none. Most rooms have super king beds and these can split into king singles to allow for a twin room configuration.

The Hotel is within an easy 5 minute drive of Napier airport and a 2 minute drive from the CBD. The highly acclaimed walkway/cycle track literally passes our front door and there is free car parking on site (59 cars) with additional free car parking for over 100 vehicles within a 2 minute stroll.

Perfect for weddings, conferences, trade shows, tutorials, family gatherings, funerals, prize givings, fundraising events and much more. You have the option of utilizing The Port Room and/or Breakwater Room for additional space if required.

The Breakwater Room

The Breakwater Room has been created to cater for intermediate sized groups whether it’s a conference, formal dinner or casual birthday party with drinks and nibbles.

The venue offers great sea views and direct access onto our beach front decks. This venue is equipped with a HD projector, large screen, wi-fi, full sound system and full blackout blinds.

Being located adjacent to The larger Ocean Suite it is perfect for additional space for this larger venue as a breakout room, reception area and catering space. Bathrooms located adjacent to the room.

The Port Room

Seated for Dinner – 60 people

U Shape – 30 people

The Port Room is the hotel’s longest serving and most popular venue for smaller meetings and gatherings.

Offering magnificent sea views down the beach to the port and also straight out to sea, this venue is equipped with it’s own private ocean facing deck. The Port Room is perfect for smaller meetings and is equipped with HD projector, screen, wi-fi, sound system and full blackout blinds. It has it’s own additional reception space ideal for morning/afternoon teas, lunches and breakout space.

Also utilised as an additional breakout room for larger events in The Ocean Suite. The Port Room has proved itself over many years as one of Napier’s premiere small private dining venues perfect for private dinners, buffets, lunches, cocktail functions, birthday parties etc. Bathrooms located adjacent to the room.
